WhatsApp Remote Reading Recovery for COVID-19
Based on international programs that have shown positive results in the application of WhatsApp as a teaching tool, this experimental project sends reading content daily, through 60 volunteer MInistry of Education teachers, to primary school children (grades 2-6) and, with the help of their families, encourages daily reading during this Covid-19 quarantine period of school closure. The hope is that with this daily effort, children will maintain (or expand) their reading skills and be better prepared for the reopening of schools. Student reading levels will be measured through pre- and post-intervention assessments.
This project involves a collaboration between CIEDU, the ProEd Foundation, and Quality Leadership University (QLU).
